As far as the workarounds on comment #47: I ended up preferring #2 because #1 will remove [Gmail]\Trash from other IMAP clients that don't exhibit TBs behavior. In my case, this created a problem with my iPhone and it attempted to created its own Trash folder.
Workaround #1 seems to work for now with the exception that I cannot access the [Gmail]\Trash folder from TB. I'm not sure how this influences Shift-Delete behavior since I don't usually use it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885525 Title: Deleting a Gmail Message Always Sends Item to [Gmail]/Trash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunderbird/+bug/885525/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
