huh so  you get that system crash every time you run apport-collect?
That sounds like possibly another bug in apport-collect. We'll deal with
that one later. The way to test the latest mainline kernel is actually
pretty simple.

1) Head over to http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.9-rc5-raring/ 
and download the headers, image and image extra for your architecture (i386 for 
32 bit, amd64 for 64 bit)
2) in a terminal we are now going to install those packages using dpkg. 
Assuming you downloaded them to your Downloads folder run this command 

sudo dpkg -i ~/Downloads/linux-*-3.9.*.deb

3) Reboot and select the new 3.9 kernel!

Once you do that, if you could do the apport-collect 1164145 and report
on whether it works or not that'd be great :)
