Just to make it clear again: There is a fix, it will be in Ubuntu soon once the official kernel gets updated to 3.8.13, and *until then*, you have three choices:
* Wait until the new kernel comes * Use the non-permanent hotfix described above * Download and install the 3.8.13 from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.8.13-raring/linux-image-3.8.13-030813-generic_3.8.13-030813.201305111843_amd64.deb Personally, I find the last one most convenient. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1112652 Title: [raring] no ethernet with "auto" default power option with 82579LM To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1112652/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
