Hi, thanks a lot. I will use solution 1 for the moment. It took me some time to find correlation with power supply, but now that I know it, I can plug in power supply when using cable ethernet. I try to be a good citizen and report my problems. I found it hard to report a regression in ubuntu system. I have a couple of other regression but gave up reporting them. For this bug, at a moment I was instructed to run some apport command (don't remember exactly which) to document things but I got rejected with a not your bug message.
