My posts 41 and 42... I was able to install your linux-image kernel
packages on an existing physical install of Ubuntu 13.04 (non-touch
screen) so that it boots up ok to your test kernel. Further, I was
able to build a LiveCD written to USB flash drive via uck-gui tool, with
the following results: (A) no customization to Ubuntu 13.04 and 13.10
saucey ISO image, it boots fine into Ubuntu and into Unity, while (B)
when adding your linux-image kernel packages as customizations to the
LiveCD, the same do not boot up properly, ending up with the (initramfs
... per posts 41 and 42) error, and that's it.

The long story short of this is I cannot make custom LiveCD with your
linux-image kernel packages, as they wind up booting only to the
(initramfs ...) error on both physical hardware (Dell Optiplex 745/980
non-touchscreen) and same problem on the Dell XPS 18 Touchscreen.
However, as a control measure I built a LiveCD with uck-gui and added no
custom kernel packages, and those booted just fine. So again, when I
add your kernel packages the LiveCD fails. The only thing your kernel
packages booted ok from was a physical install (to local disk), but that
had no touch screen to test.

In other words, if you are able to build a LiveCD ISO with your test
kernel packages on it and get it to boot up, and I could obtain a copy,
I can then test the Dell XPS 18 touch. Otherwise, I am stuck at this
point.
