This grub behavior Im facing from the upgrade 13.04 to 13.10. When we do usb/dvd install it works nicely. But after the install if we do the software update whole grub boot loader will break.
Same problem exists with 14.04 also. It installs fine, works fine but when grub loader breaks after software updates (may be with grub updater).
