Works for me. I'm running Kubuntu 14.04 on Gigabyte U2442. Installing the 3.15.5 kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ helped. The touchpad is now identified as “ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad” in “xinput list”, and all the fancy featutes (including edge-scroll and two-finger scroll) work and can be configured from KDE system settings.
