Looking at the source, it seems like the default is actually dependent
on whether you accessed libvirt using qemu:///system or qemu:///session.

By default I do not have this problem.  Can you show the exact commands
you used originally to start the vms?  Do you know whether your
/etc/libvirt/qemu.conf originally had the default

# dynamic_ownership = 1

or could it have actually been set to 0 previously?
