Created attachment 113034 Underruns in the log Same with VIA VT1708S. When I start pavucontrol it skips hardly and almost stops sometimes. Because of that latency increases and may get up to 80 ms which is unacceptable as PulseAudio's goal is to provide low latency audio. Of course, it doesn't happen with pure ALSA. I already set all priorities to the maximum, doesn't seem to help. My kernel is preemptive (not the default Debian's one, it's even worse with it): Linux work 3.18.0-pf0+ #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 13 09:21:17 MSK 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have this enabled in daemon.conf: high-priority = yes nice-level = -19 realtime-scheduling = yes realtime-priority = 15 exit-idle-time = -1 log-level = debug This doesn't happen with tsched=0, but the resulting latency is horrible in that case. Pure ALSA has negligible latency and doesn't skip at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996906 Title: periodic audio skips with Intel HDA To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pulseaudio/+bug/996906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
