I am from the Wine Staging development team. As already explained in comment #6, the problem is that webkit is used, which always loads all plugins on startup (yes, also linux flash, mono, ....). The only difference is that pipelight/wine spams a lot of debug output.
An easy workaround in case of Pipelight is to enable the plugins only for specific applications (by manually specifying MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH when starting the browser) and disable it system-wide, but its obviously just an ugly hack. The preferred solution would be when applications running with root rights don't load plugins at all by default, but I am not sure if there is a way to do that with webkit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1439623 Title: Firewall Shield will not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gui-ufw/+bug/1439623/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
