@loannis, That is correct it will be in the -21 build of the vivid kernel, . We have 3 week kernel integration and test cycles. There will be an automated message posted here when the kernel that contains the fix is pushed to the -proposed archives.
It should be noted that most of the Ubuntu Kernel devs that have an 840 EVO are already running the EXT0DB6Q firmware without serious issue. The only minor issues are timeouts related to ncq trim taking too long in certain cases. The kernel fix removes ncq-trim which consequently removes those messages as well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1338706 Title: Samsung SSD 840 failed to get NCQ Send/Recv Log Emask 0x1 failed to set xfermode (err_mask=0x40) on upstream kernels >= 3.12 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1338706/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
