This is an issue with the Out of the Box Experience wizard in Unity 8
itself. I recently added a workaround in another package, but the
Ubuntu Desktop Next ISO has not been updated in quite some time.
First, are you using the Vivid package from the archive or did you
install from the unity8-preview-lxc PPA?
If from the archive, I suggest you use the PPA since it gets fixes and
updates much more frequently.
Once you have the PPA version installed, I suggest you do the following.
1. Start from a new baseline - 'sudo unity8-lxc-setup --rebuild-all
--redownload'
2. Update the contents of the lxc - 'sudo unity8-lxc-setup --update-lxc'
3. Then try it again.
