I've installed an Ubuntu-14.04.1-server-i386/32 bit(Trusty Tahr) and tested with Joseph Salisbury's kernel and it worked. Then I upgraded to the latest Trusty version(14.04.3) and updated the kernel too (Linux 3.19.0-30-generic) and kernel panic occured.
