@Zach (zach-bimson) Well this is how it happened and how i resolved the issue. Before installing i started 16.04 live usb, the wifi was not working so in live usb i enabled proprietary wifi drivers from "additional drivers" the wifi had no problem from there on out, so i decided to continue with the installation of ubuntu, I selected the options i wanted and pressed to download updates while installing.
After it installed the ubuntu and booted in ubuntu i could not install wifi proprietary drivers even though i have managed to do so just fine on live usb. So at the end of the day i had to plug lan cable in the laptop and run -f install it downloaded software and after that the wifi started to function. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1580659 Title: bcmwl-kernel-source (not installed): bcmwl kernel module failed to build [wlc_hybrid.o_shipped_x86_64: No such file or directory] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1580659/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
