@Zach (zach-bimson)

Well this is how it happened and how i resolved the issue.
Before installing i started 16.04 live usb, the wifi was not working so in live
usb i enabled proprietary wifi drivers from "additional drivers" the wifi had
no problem from there on out, so i decided to continue with the installation of
ubuntu, I selected the options i wanted and pressed to download updates while
installing.

After it installed the ubuntu and booted in ubuntu i could not install
wifi proprietary drivers even though i have managed to do so just fine
on live usb. So at the end of the day i had to plug lan cable in the
laptop and run -f install it downloaded software and after that the wifi
started to function.
