692a59e696afe1a4e777d0e4359325336ab0ad89 / 4.1 rc6 seems to have the bug. When streaming a video online (like i test with all of them this one froze within 5 min.
@Joseph Salisbury, ready for the next commit to test. @mrvanes, yes i've read that bug report before. And yes there is a lot of duplicate effort being done. But until a fix for this issue is found i see no other option. And yes, i also suspect there may be more than one bug with similar freezing problems. In regards to the freezing issue on kernel 3.6 and/or 3.19 i believe i did have my system freeze once or twice while doing random things (not related to watching online videos). However those cases were rare and/or not easily reproducible so i didn't have a way to really report that bug if it is indeed a separate bug. Who knows, that issue may have been fixed while a similar one was introduced somewhere else. Best to work on the bigger one first and then to work on other ones after. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575467 Title: [Dell Inspiron 3451] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1297 at /build/linux-lts- utopic-vy2yyy/linux-lts- utopic-3.16.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:1743 vlv_wait_port_ready+0x126/0x170 [i915]() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1575467/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
