I encountered this ad well.
In my case the workaround was :
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64
and then start it fromthe command line.

Since a fix is released according to the tracker here, what needs to
happen to get it built and released?
