think it's too invasive for an SRU.

These are the reverse dependencies in xenial:
$ reverse-depends -r xenial src:glfw
Reverse-Depends

* info-beamer                   (for libglfw2)
* libcegui-mk2-0.8.4            (for libglfw2)
* pax-britannica                (for libglfw2)
* pink-pony                     (for libglfw2)

You would also break every existing project which uses glfw2 (ie not
packaged in Ubuntu) which does not use pkg-config.
