remove all partial download with rm -rf /var/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloads/partial change your partial download directory permissions with sudo chmod 777 /var/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloads/partial or solve the problem of the _apt user with sudo adduser --force-badname --system --home /nonexistent \ --no-create-home --quiet _apt || true and restart the update process with sudo /usr/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloader -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1607535 Title: ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.4+nmu1ubuntu2 fails to install core fonts and should be updated to version 3.6 from Debian To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/msttcorefonts/+bug/1607535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
