Somewhere along the way I stopped having this issue and I'm mostly
certain that it was due to a kernel update (not positive). Try updating
to the most recent linux kernel release and seeing if it helps. I'm
running 4.10.1 right now, but it seemed to be fixed several releases
earlier.
