Interesting. Tried again on my laptop to do a copy/paste and had the failure. Marked the cells to be copied and hit ctl-c. Moved to open area and hit ctl-v and this opened a "text import" box (which is not normal) and after hitting OK the cells where copied but did not include any calcs. Have the same Ubuntu/Libreoffice level and spreadsheets on a desktop and when I tried to reproduce this problem I could not. Back to the laptop. Tried and was able to reproduce the problem every time and then rebooted to Ubuntu 16.10. The spreadsheet file is the same but under 16.10 I could not reproduce on the laptop. Rebooted to 17.04 and tried the same steps that failed every time before but could not reproduce the problem. Don't feel this is a hardware problem since it was so consistent under Libreoffice (tried many times just to understand what was going on) but don't see problems under other problems under other applications. Also as I said using the copy/paste icons resulted in the same failure as the using the ctl-c/ctl-v. Right now do not have a problem but will continue to try to reproduce.
