@steampunk What you are saying was already discussed above. I guess almost everyone here has got it working with feisty. Feisty is NOT the problem, the problem is GUTSY. For some reason gutsy does NOT accept the DSDT.aml file in intramfs, or MAYBE I don't know how to do it the right way. I've installed Feisty on around 6 toshibas with the same problem with with no single issue, but again... that is FEISTY. I 'm NOT telling anyone to leave ubuntu, ... ubuntu is the distro I love most, but FACTS are FACTS and sound does not work in Gutsy. I invite you to read a little since the begining of this bug.. some people has been able to have sound doing some hacks but with an earlier kernel, but some of us were not so lucky. When you upgrade to gutsy, then you can give us some feed back, in the mean time... I'll continue shouting about a fix to this issue. Kind Regards Luis
