I'm a very unskilled user of Ubuntu 17.10. I have no idea why this is
happening and cannot positively state that what is happening is a "bug".
I was automatically brought to this page by the reporting system.

I'm using Ubuntu 17.10 on a Dell E6500 Latitude (yes, it's old) with 4Gb
RAM.

I don't have enough understanding to know what to ask so if anyone can
be of help in getting the needed information to figure this out, I'd be
very grateful.
