Following up on your comment twdkeule, is there an option to disable the dialog popup in Ubuntu 17.10? I was going to try vincenzoml's hack fix, but don't have any experience rebuilding packages and was pretty lost on how to even find/edit the unity-settings-daemon file.
I am considering upgrading solely for this reason. My headphone jack is broken, and keeps wrongly sensing unplugging/plugging in headphones to the point where the constant popup interferes heavily with usability. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297790 Title: "Unknown audio device" dialog pops up every time I plug in headphones To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-settings-daemon/+bug/1297790/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
