What would "startx" do? My login screen is strange, but afterwards graphical desktop is running. In another thread I found for "reinstall ubuntu": sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop sudo apt-get build-dep ubuntu-desktop Correct? Afterwards I'll look what "gtkorphan & bleachbit" mean. Additional remark: I am using the cinnamon desktop. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
