I confirm this behavior. Currently running Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10, amd64) on ASUS P5NSLI, Intel Core 2 Duo E6420, 2GB RAM. I've tried all settings in Volume Control, alsamixer, alsamixergui and qamix, and have also attempted to change settings in /etc/esound/esd.conf.
Still no microphone output, and testing Sound capture in System > Sound > Devices tab yields the following (for ALSA - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) : "Failed to construct test pipeline for 'gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat'" When selecting Test Sound from the Sound capture drop-down box and clicking Test, I hear the beep. Currently keeping fingers crossed. :) -- Microphone does not work in Gutsy 7.10 64bit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159248 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
