I also have this problem on an X1C 6th gen (gray if that somehow matters), non-NFC. I've enabled the Linux support for sleep state and Thunderbolt in BIOS, and disabled AMT.
It's exactly as described at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Linux- Discussion/Troubles-with-X1-Carbon-2018-X1C6-TouchPad-and-TrackPoint- under/td-p/4004815 Here's the dmesg output: https://gist.github.com/dandv/d2ed219103f8d03f980fcbb660d05ef1 There are many "Failed to reset mouse on synaptics-pt/serio0" and "psmouse serio1: TouchPad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost sync at byte 1" messages. Both the touchpad and trackpoint do work on Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.1. I'm a web developer and Linux user, but not familiar with Linux internals. A TL;DR of the discussion above would be great. And maybe someone more knowledgeable could look at why these peripherals do work in Budgie. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3 suspend on Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1791427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
