Fredrik Persson : You said "I don't have an ATI card" but you have the xorg-driver-fglrx installed ( that should normally means that you have a ATI card ). Is your graphic card a ATI? Intel?
Can you also type this on a terminal : ls /var/cache/apt/archives You should get a list of recent packages you've installed ( if you get nothing, you can install something with synaptic and then type the command again ). If you're on a i386 ubuntu distribution, almost all packages should end with i386.deb and NOT amd64. Can you confirm this?
