Public bug reported: The version of terminator bundled with Disco seems unable to respond to certain shortcuts. I have mapped ctrl+shift+arrowleft and ctrl+shift+arrowdown to split terminal vertically and horizontally, respectively.
The keybindings section of terminator correctly registers setting the shortcut, but the terminals don't split. The default shortcuts however work, if restored. Terminator offer a nightly build in a PPA for cosmic than when installed manually in Disco fixes the problem and now terminator works normally. This package has two extra requirements: gir1.2-gconf-2.0 and python- gobject. Installing these then using the disco version doesn't work either. Their PPA is at https://launchpad.net/~gnome-terminator/+archive/ubuntu /nightly-gtk3, and the version is for cosmic. The version number is the same (1.91-1 in disco and 1.91.0 in their ppa).
