Public bug reported: Hello, I'd ask to remove mysql++ from Eoan.
The reasons are: - it breaks with the current mysql-8 transition (bug 1795329) Build errors of that at [1] - it generally fails with new compilers (Debian 871302 [2]) - Due to the above it got removed from Debian Testing [3] (so we lack the Debian community on it) Hence I'd ask to remove it from Eoan as well to avoid shipping unmaintainable packages and to unblock the mysql-8 transition. $ rma mysql++ mysql++ | 3.2.1+pristine-1 | oldoldstable | source mysql++ | 3.2.2+pristine-2 | oldstable | source mysql++ | 3.2.2+pristine-2 | unstable | source mysql++ | 3.2.2+pristine-2 | unstable-debug | source $ reverse-depends src:mysql++ -r eoan No reverse dependencies found [1]: https://launchpad.net/~mysql-ubuntu/+archive/ubuntu/mysql-8.0/+build/17188632 [2]: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=871302 [3]: https://tracker.debian.org/news/874023/mysql-removed-from-testing/ ** Affects: mysql++ (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1840230 Title: Removal of mysql++ from Eoan To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql++/+bug/1840230/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
