I cannot observe the problem you describe. I've tested in a fully up-to- date 19.10 VM, with both the default GNOME desktop, and in the Unity session. In both cases, when starting thunderbird with a keyboard shortcut, the cursor immediately turns into a spinner, and in the case of Unity the icon in the launcher immediately starts glowing (if thunderbird is not a favourite app the icon appears at the bottom of the launcher).
Can you confirm you can reliably reproduce the problem? How is your keyboard shortcut configured? ** Changed in: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1848402 Title: No indication that thunderbird is starting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1848402/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
