Felix: I doubt it was 1.3.7-2 that worked last for you. 1.3.7-1 and 1.3.7-2 had a very significant bug where updates would hang due to a bad commit introduced (https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/commit/44f55e2ee6df0b317df3029675afce86219cd9cd#diff-2f5c39c775e4cac7ebbeabed4cefca6a).
These were fixed in 1.3.7-3 and later (https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/commit/d5bf8e45f22505eb9281e83357067cdb0bf6d54e #diff-2f5c39c775e4cac7ebbeabed4cefca6a) I would recommend that you file a bug upstream for debugging. Although an update worked with 1.3.7-3, it's entirely possible there is a firmware bug with updating that your manufacturer will need to fix, but it would be properly triaged there. Andreas: Same goes for you, if it's not boot order lock causing the problem, this needs to be debugged upstream. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866055 Title: Firmware updates aren't being applied on reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fwupd/+bug/1866055/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
