Yesterday evening I installed updates on Ubuntu 19.10 running on a Dell Latitude 5591 (Core i7-8850H @ 2.60 Ghz x 12, GeForce MX130). Laptop connected to power supply. Nothing special, just the updates that were proposed as they always do. Reboot afterwards was fine.
This morning I started the laptop on the battery. Booting failed with purple screen. Recovery option mentioned Loading initial ramdisk. After I plugged in the power supply Ubuntu started successfully. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853369 Title: [19.10] Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-microcode/+bug/1853369/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
