- Could you please save /etc/grub.d/10_linux_zfs somewhere outside of /etc/grub.d/ - Replace /etc/grub.d/10_linux_zfs by the file in attachment. It adds set -x to watch its execution and the content of intermediary files to generate the menu. - Make it executable: chmod +x /etc/grub.d/10_linux_zfs - Then run update-grub: sudo update-grub 2>/tmp/update-grub.log Verify that the log contains something and attach it to this report. ** Attachment added: "10_linux_zfs" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1870810/+attachment/5348525/+files/10_linux_zfs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1870810 Title: Grub update fails on zfs root drives after software install..
