I could get a signal to an external screen from the HP Elitebook 8560p. As I expected, it failed to boot to the current Lubuntu Groovy iso file.
In mkusb's settings menu for a persistent live drive I selected - MSDOS partition table - usb-pack-efi and I could boot to this persistent live system. So my conclusion is that we forgot about these old HP computers, when we accepted a GPT for the Groovy iso files. They simply refuse to boot via grub and GPT in BIOS mode. -o- I am part of this problem: I should have remembered and warned about it, but maybe because my son's computer is broken, it disappeared from my memory until I read this bug report. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1899308 Title: failure to boot groovy daily (again) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1899308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
