Seems not necessary. Your diff in comment #44 shows the few changes which gnome disks made for you. José Marinho's boot1.txt shows that xorriso-1.5.5 with its new -boot_image options was able to create the same partition table, except the size of partition 0xee and the device size field in the GPT header block. This device size depends on the actual USB stick on which the ISO is copied. So it is futile to try predicting it when the ISO gets produced.
