Public bug reported: Hello, I've recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 3-14ITL6 and the OS installation (Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS) itself went fine.
However there was this firmware update offered so I clicked on it. The entry disappeared from the list in the Software Center for a short wile but has soon (in a few seconds) reappeared. No error, nothing. Then after a few minutes (and without seeing any error log anywhere I've looked) I did try to restart the device. Unfortunately after this point the system wouldn't boot with bios saying "missing boot device". Ubuntu live USB will not see the drive either. I can also unfortunately confirm this does happen regularly as I tried it on a second device today. That's very unfortunate as I am left with a second broken device that I will very probably need to return back to the seller because I don't know what else to do with it. Thank you.
