Here you are. I actually got here via `do-release-update -d` (I tried adding a few packages manually via `dpkg` afterwards to get out of the current bad situation but they are likely not having much of an impact on the logs). If you say this may be a race condition, should I try reducing the system to a single core (it's a 4-core right now) via BIOS settings or whatever and try again? Problem of course being that if it works I cannot get back to the failing state again for further testing.
