Forget about the last screenshot, it is difficult to understand, because
Ubuntu 14.04 is running in "full screen" mode in the Ubuntu 22.04
windows. Ubuntu added that QEMU/KVM label, I have no clue why. That
screenshot has only been added to show the display settings.

My description is correct and "Ubuntu 21.10+Virtualbox 6.1.30" run on
the bare metal a Ryzen 3 2200G! They are both running on bare metal,
since vboxdrv.ko and other vbox modules run in the kernel.

The highest level is always Ubuntu 14.04.

The intermediate level runs different different configurations like:
- Ubuntu Mate 22.04 runs virt-manager/kvm and this one is extremely slow.
- Ubuntu Budgie 22.04 runs gnome-boxes/kvm and this one is OK.
on this intermediate level I did not mention it, but I also run:
- Ubuntu 22.04 runs Virtualbox 6.1.30 and this one is OK.

To proof that it is regression I already added:
- Ubuntu 21.10 + virt-manager/kvm and this one is OK too.

I have no other GPUs, but I have a 2011 HP Elitebook 8460p with
integrated graphics and exactly the same VMs. However it will be
difficult/impossible to run nested VMs, since it only has 8GB of DDR3.

I have switched off 3D acceleration in the bare metal Virtualbox, but
that had no effect.

I have the feeling that the Compiz and a change in the display stack of
virt-manager/kvm do cause the issue, especially since it gets terrible
during the animations of Compiz, but also without those animations it is
bad.

Normally I would move the nested virtualization one level down and
install virt-manager/kvm on bare metal, but there I run Ubuntu 21.10 and
that release does not have that problem.

If you have ideas for other tests?
