Hello Robert and thanks for this bug report. I checked what NICs are supported on sparc, and:
$ qemu-system-sparc -net nic, model='?' Supported NIC models: lance so apparently it's only lance. Now, is there any trace of this NIC on the guest system? Does it show up in `ip addr` or `ip link`? Does it show up in lspci / dmesg? Is there any trace of a lance kernel module (this may be CONFIG_LANCE in the kernel config)? My guess here is that the guest system is lacking drivers for the lance NIC, so it will show up in lspci but not no `ip link`, however I'm a bit in the dark. Let us know your findings and we'll see if there's anything we can do from the Ubuntu side. Thanks! ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1974102 Title: Sun4u emulation network does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1974102/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
