I can confirm that gnome-activity-journal from noble-proposed has fixed the bug for me.
Test done: install gnome-activity-journal and confirm that it fails to open as in #2071547 Added noble-proposed to apt sources. install gnome-activity-journal from noble-proposed. Confirmed that gnome-activity-journal now opens. confirmed that gnome-activity-journal still opens when "/bin/gnome-activity-journal" is executed in a terminal.
