Sorry for late reply, the above worked and I could install the required
GRUB package.

the provided grub is signed and has SBAT entries.

root@ltcden13-lp2:~# strings 
/usr/lib/grub/powerpc-ieee1275-signed/grub.elf.signed | tail -1
~Module signature appended~

root@ltcden13-lp2:~# strings 
/usr/lib/grub/powerpc-ieee1275-signed/grub.elf.signed | grep -i sbat
sbatSecure-Boot-Advanced-Targeting
sbat,1,SBAT Version,sbat,1,https://github.com/rhboot/shim/blob/main/SBAT.md
