Public bug reported: I use i3 xorg and plover together. I3 is a simple tiling window manager that displays pop-ups as floating screens. Plover is a stenography program that requires the machine to (through xorg only, not Wayland) recognize a steno keyboard and adjust input accordingly.
Before today's upgrade to plucky, plover started with these processes: (1) Recognizing the attached keyboard and activating the plover steno input. (2) Having an icon in the bottom ribbon, so I could change things. (3) Having a popup box that showed the current word. Now only (1) works. I have no icon in the ribbon, so no popup boxes and no way to set them.
