Hi, @jeromehaxhiaj! Thanks for the report!
Would you mind testing that the linux-aws kernel version 6.14.0-1011-aws in
noble-proposed fixes this issue for you? To do that, add the PPA that contains
the same kernels as in noble-proposed and then update the kernel to the -1011
version:
$ add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-kernel-team/proposed
$ apt install linux-aws
Reboot and make sure you're running the -1011 version.
As for the root cause, I believe this issue is due to upstream commit
7ab4f0e37a0f4 ("ACPI PPTT: Fix coding mistakes in a couple of sizeof() calls"),
fixed by upstream commit adfab6b3920248 ("ACPI: PPTT: Fix processor subtable
walk"), which is now part of the -1011 AWS kernel to be released in the next
couple weeks to noble-updates.
Please let me know if the -1011 kernel works for you.
Best regards,
Magali
