Public bug reported:
Hello,
I’d like to report a reproducible issue with LibreOffice Calc version
24.2.7.2, currently distributed via Ubuntu 24.04 LTS repositories. This
version causes consistent crashes when entering strings that begin with
digits followed by non-digit characters (e.g. 123abc, 123,, 123.).
The issue does not occur with:
LibreOffice AppImage 7.6.7
LibreOffice 25.2 installed via Flatpak
LibreOffice 25.2.3.2 on Debian testing
As many users are preparing to migrate to Ubuntu with the end-of-life of
Windows 10 approaching (October 2025), it would be helpful if Ubuntu
repositories offered a more recent version of LibreOffice, or if Flatpak
installation was officially recommended.
Thanks for your attention and your work.
Best regards, Daniel Boisvert
