Public bug reported: openjdk-21 is the default Java for Ubuntu 25.10. openjdk-25, the newest LTS Java release, is also available.
Let's remove openjdk-17 from questing but leave it in questing-proposed since this seems to be helpful for preparing security updates for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. This is similar to what was done for Debian 13 where openjdk-17 was not included but is still available in Debian Unstable. https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/java-se-support-roadmap.html ** Affects: openjdk-17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: block-proposed questing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2125887 Title: Don't include openjdk-17 in questing but leave in devel-proposed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-17/+bug/2125887/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
