Confirming. I upgraded to Alpha 1 and 2 on their release.

This has started occurring since the last one week. Compiz and OOO packages 
appear unchecked. The following is a (partial) list (the rest are kde packages :
compiz-core
compiz-gnome

compiz plugins
libgpod3
openoffice.org-calc
openoffice.org-common
openoffice.org-core
openoffice.org-draw
openoffice.org-gnome
openoffice.org-gtk
openoffice.org-impress
openoffice.org-math

openoffice.org-writer
python-uno

I don't know if this is related, but I have also been getting errors in the 
installation of the following packages which were downloaded when I canceled 
the partial upgrade option, but were not installed:
 mono-gac
 libflickrnet2.1.5-cil
 f-spot
 mono-runtime
 libmono2.0-cil
 libmono1.0-cil
