Public bug reported:

It's possible that the failure is due a mismatch in the versions of the
xdg-desktop-portal-gnome and mutter.
I'm running Resolute, with mutter version 49.2-1ubuntu1 while
xdg-desktop-portal-gnome 50~alpha-0ubuntu2 because those are the current
versions. Downgrading xdg-desktop-portal-gnome to 49.0-1ubuntu1 resolves the
issue.

When I attempt to share or record a screen with Firefox or OBS Studio
for example, I get a selection dialog with no text and the journal shows
this interesting error:

> GtkImage 0x5c8fda668e90 reported baselines of minimum -2147483648 and
natural -2147483648, but sizes of minimum 16 and natural 16. Baselines
must be inside the widget size.

The capture itself works as expected, just the dialog is rendered
without any text.

** Affects: xdg-desktop-portal-gnome (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Confirmed

** Attachment added: "OBS video capture triggering screen selection with no
