Public bug reported: ## Release to remove from
resolute-proposed ## Source && binary package to remove 20260115.00-0ubuntu2 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/google-guest- agent/20260115.00-0ubuntu2) ## Rationale Google have identified a boot time issue with this new agent architecture severe enough to warrant it not being released (fortunately, the pkg was still stuck in excuses/-proposed with a postinst issue). They are going to regroup and implement a fix upstream and let us know which `git tag` to use when it arrives. They I'll start the process again. # reverse-depends ``` kajiya@little-HAL:~$ apt rdepends google-guest-agent google-guest-agent Reverse Depends: Depends: google-compute-engine-oslogin (>= 20231004.02) Depends: google-compute-engine ``` google-guest-agent does indeed have a reverse-dependency on both `google-compute-engine-oslogin` and `google-compute-engine`; however the removal request here is to remove the pkg from resolute-proposed, so the dependency will just fall back to what is already in the resolute release pocket (version `20250506.01-0ubuntu2`) ## Architectures All architectures please - the package is built for all but only used for amd64, amd64v3 and arm64 ** Affects: google-guest-agent (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2144763 Title: Please remove 20260115.00-0ubuntu2 from resolute-proposed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/google-guest-agent/+bug/2144763/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
