Tested some more and produced an ISO with the responsible module
removed, that seems to be another promising way of fixing the issue.
It seems to get included together with all of drivers/dma in:
modules.d/70kernel-modules/module-setup.sh:73: "=drivers/dma" \
@bdrung do you think we could explicitly exclude the problematic module?
That seems like a slightly better solution than reverting the dt change
