When enabling the “Overview blur” option in the Blur my Shell extension—specifically the “Overview components” setting—Ubuntu Dock stops highlighting the currently focused application. This issue does not occur when using Dash to Dock under the same conditions. --- Affects Ubuntu 26.04 (GNOME 50 version included in the release) Ubuntu Dock (default dock) Blur my Shell extension (latest version available) --- Steps to reproduce Install and enable the Blur my Shell extension. Open the extension settings. Enable Overview blur → Overview components. Open several applications. Switch between them. --- Expected behavior Ubuntu Dock should highlight the application that is currently in the foreground, as it normally does. Actual behavior When the “Overview components” blur is enabled, Ubuntu Dock stops marking the focused application. The indicator does not update or disappears entirely. Additional information This issue does not occur with Dash to Dock, which continues to highlight the active application correctly even with Blur my Shell’s overview blur enabled.
